Abbotsford Juniors Football Club is a volunteer-based community football club that has provided a safe, family-friendly environment for members of all ages to develop their skills and enjoy playing football for over 60 years.
The “Abbotsford Juniors” name continues to reflect our Club’s focus
on junior football development at a grass-roots, community level.
The Football Canterbury Association Board has confirmed that its Over 50 age group competition will change from the 2026 Winter Season. The following guidance has been provided by the Association:
Congratulations to one of Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (AJFC) favourite sons, Adrian Timbs, on being awarded a Football Canterbury CEC Barlow Award at last night's award ceremony for his outstanding contribution to AJFC.
As a highly respected and valued member of Abbotsford Juniors for more than a decade, Adrian has made an outstanding contribution to the Club and the wider football community within the Association. A past member of the AJFC Executive Committee, he is perhaps best known for his time as Club President where he championed improved access and infrastructure for Club members at Campbell Park and Lysaght Park, fostered the growth of female football and led the establishment of a new, modern AJFC identity.
Adrian – well overdue recognition of your efforts on behalf of the Abbotsford Juniors Football Club community. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do behind the scenes for the Club and its members.
